the Douglas County Board of Commissioners are the voting meetings for the
agenda set during the work session. The work session for the Commission meeting
is normally the Monday before the legislative meeting (but could change due to
holidays and other events). The legislative meetings are open to the public.
Citizens are invited to attend the meetings, and may bring up issues of concern
during Citizen's Input, an agenda item at the beginning of the meeting. For

Authority Economic Restructuring Committees Downtown Recognition Banquet will
be October 6, 2008 at 6:30 pm. The location will be the Downtown Conference

the five-member Cobb County Board of Commissioners and Chairman of the Atlanta
Regional Commission (ARC).
Mr. Olens will be followed by the Downtown Awards ceremony that will showcase
the work of the DDA committee volunteers and business owners, as well as,
recognize outstanding economic development in the Downtown business district.

Begins at Dark. In late September and early October the leaves begin to change
colors as the seasons evolve, and it is a great time to be outdoors at Clinton
Nature Preserve. Friday night, October 2nd, Movies in the Parks finishes it
2009 run with “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” on the inflatable screen at Clinton. Admission is free and the movie begins at
dark. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a movie under the stars!
